Bloomfield CT Homes For Sale
This town runs the full gamut of housing! From smaller starter homes to contemporary style homes to luxury retirement communities and everything in between. Bloomfield was largely a farming community and its population grew as it became a suburb of Hartford and an alternative to city living. At first, traditional post World War II neighborhoods were developed. Over the years, some larger subdivisions with larger family homes were created. Today, as some of the farms have turned their land over to developers, we see larger communities of nicer homes along with golf courses also being developed.

Bloomfield is located north of Hartford and West Hartford and has a very diverse population in both densely populated areas and more rural areas. There is a lively town center with some outstanding restaurants. In the southern part of town is a Home Depot, Lowes, and some fast food chain restaurants. However, Cigna is headquartered in Bloomfield and has attracted higher end executive housing and built their own golf course. Nonetheless, Bloomfield Connecticut still has over 50% open space and many recreational opportunities including three state parks.
