Suffield is developing a lot of new construction with many new neighborhoods being created. The focus has been on upper-end larger single-family homes and retirement communities. Suffield has done an excellent job of handling this new growth and ensuring the town maintains its rural charm. There are many older large historical homes on main street that runs straight through the middle of town. Although some new construction has occurred near these traditional houses, it has been carefully planned to blend in nearly seamlessly. There are some homes in the lower price range, but most homes in Suffield command higher prices since it is such a desirable location.
